Santa Pics 2010

Hailey and Mason were not big fans of "Clause Clause" when we went to breakfast with Santa this year - maybe next year....

Cole Adam Turner Has Arrived!

Our precious baby boy has arrived. Cole joined Team Turner at 3:21 pm on Tuesday, December 14. He weighed 7 lbs, 15 ozs and was 21 and a quarter inches long. He continues to be strong and healthy and was able to stay with his Mommy and Daddy rather than going to the NICU.

Our Chunky Monkey

Cole had his circumcision early this morning with Dr. W. We have decided to stay one more day so Cole and I can continue to heal before going home to our everyday craziness. Daddy and I are definitely missing Hailey and Mason. They both woke up with sinus infections on the day of my C-section. Thankfully Mammies (Casey's mom) and Kiki (my mom) rallied around us and could care for the twins while we headed off to meet Cole. It was not an easy decision to leave them while sick.
Daddy just left to go see our other babies for a bit and enjoy a shower at home. Cole and I are resting peacefully and spending lots of time cuddling and bonding. Having one baby is soooooo much easier and much less stressful. Cole is a perfect fit for our family and its awesome knowing Team Turner is complete.....here we go!

Last Weekend as a Family of Four

Things have moved along quickly with baby Cole. My C-section is now scheduled for Tuesday, December 14 at 3 pm. Thats less than 48 hours from now - CRAZY! After having lots of contractions and blood sugar issues we talked with Dr. W and all came to the agreement on Tuesday's delivery date.
Dr. W did prep us for Cole's need to probably be taken to the NICU for observation due to my gestational diabetes. We were prepared for Hailey and Mason to have a short stay in the NICU but Hailey managed to regulate her blood sugar after birth and avoided having to go. Dr. W said things were a little different with Cole since my medication doses are higher, I've been eating correctly and my numbers are still elevated. Hearing the word NICU mentioned isn't comforting - but blood sugar issues are on the "easy" end of reasons to have to go. Hopefully all of our prayers will have the same effect as they did on Hailey and Cole will stay with his Mommy and Daddy. We are looking forward to being home well before the holidays and getting to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with the twins.
Hailey and Mason are doing great. We did Santa pics that are hysterical. I may load those tomorrow night since I doubt I'll be sleeping due to nerves and excitement. This was our last weekend as our little family of four...can't wait to meet Cole in person Tuesday afternoon.

Stocking Full of Cole!

Cole Adam Turner, that is! Baby #3 will arrive on Tuesday, December 21 around 1:30 pm (and yes Cole Adam will be his name). Our OB scheduled my C-section at our appt this past Friday. Having a scheduled date is both exciting and scary. We only have 6 weeks left as a family of four and have a crazy list of things to do before Cole arrives. Our hectic schedule doesn't allow me to do the frequent blog postings that I had hoped.
We even have a garage sale planned for this Saturday to help rid of us of some of the clutter (please come buy our junk). I am now having weekly OB visits until the birth. We should be bringing little Cole home on Christmas Eve or even Christmas Day. The holidays will be much different this year - but there's no better present than a newborn baby! I would have never imagined we'd be preparing for a new baby a year ago...wow, wow, wow!!!

Team Turner Updates

We've had so much going on over the past few months - here are the highlights....
  • SAHM, I am!!! I quit my job a month ago and have been loving every minute of being a Stay at Home Mom. The hours are long but being paid in kisses and hugs is the best ever. The kids are more at ease and the stress level has decreased more than we could have imagined. Neighbors were actually asking about all of the cars coming and going from our house all the time. At one point we were employing our nanny, our housekeeper, a private chef, a personal organizer and the yard crew. Not to mention the coming and going of grandparents and everyone else. Casey's job is definitely not a 9 am -5 pm, Monday to Friday gig. 24 hour shifts are hard on everyone. It just got to be too much and it made sense for us to scale back and focus on the babies - the other stuff would fall into place. I highly recommend being at home and loving on babies all day! If only we'd done this earlier!

  • Baby #3 is trucking along. I'll be 26 weeks in 3 days. We did find out this one is a boy so Mason will have a wrestling partner and Daddy will have another hunting buddy. We are DEFINITELY DONE after this one. I will have my tubes tied immediately following the C-section to deliver Baby X....we are not even close to deciding upon a name. My gestational diabetes has returned, however that was not a surprise based on how I was feeling. I asked my doctor to test me early and sure enough my blood sugar was jacked! Baby #3 also endured a bad fall out of the shower on to the bathroom floor. The fall earned me a trip to Labor and Delivery at the hospital for the day - but everything checked out okay. Lets just say the fat on my ass finally worked to my advantage! Go Rica!

  • Hailey and Mason are "toof farmers". Mason has 12 teeth fully in with #13 and #14 edging through - #15 and #16 may be poking through by the end of the weekend. Hailey is cutting her 13th tooth now. I'll be glad when we get a little relief before our 2 year molars pop up.

More updates (there are other items to share) and of course pics to come soon...we had one of the most trying evenings yet today and Mommy is TIRED!!!

Memory Lane

I finally got around to loading all of the pics on our cameras to our laptop. There were quite a few that were blog-worthy and had not been shared. Here's a look over the past 9 months...
Crawling together.

Jumping in Hailey's crib
Our St. Patty's girl

What happens when Mommy leaves her purse on the floor.

Hanging out in the backyard.

Mason upset that his dirt pie was taken away from him - so serious!

One day while washing clothes I found the following items in Casey's pockets after keeping the kids: teething tablets, infant's ibuprofen, Daddy's inhaler and snuff. Let's just say teething was/is rough around here!

On Saturday's our housekeeper comes, this usually means a trip to Incredible Pizza for Hailey and Mason. These are some pics from their first trip their several months ago.

A double shot of cuteness!
Mason loving the teacups!

Doodlebug exploring the tunnel.

Mason chillin' in the choo-choo!

Our noodler running and running and running!
Mason trying to get his first peek under a girl's skirt.
The best nuggets ever!

This past 4th of July marked the 14th anniversary of the first date Casey and I ever went on. We went to visit Daddy at the firestation and had a great time exploring, as usual. Hailey running up and down the dorm hallway - of course shoeless as all Willis babies should be!
Trying to raid the candy machine

Mason-man checking out each dorm in his 4th of July "wife-beater".

Just shoes and an electrical cord - thats all these two need for a good time.

Haileybug's first mud puddle.
One happy, dirty girl.

The cutest little booty ever!

Trying out Gramps' boots.

Just a little bit more growin' and they'll fit perfectly.

This is how I found Mason one morning after he figured out how to open the pantry door and spilt Trix all over the floor.

Hailey joining in on the all you can eat buffet...the only time they've had Trix.

Hailey and her new Keds at Dilliard's. She stomped and marched and danced for days in her Keds.

Mason having fun with his blankie.

More posts and news from Team Turner coming very soon...

In Response to the Requests for Updated Pics...

I I finally have a little time to blog and blogger is doing crazy stuff with my photos and formatting...

Here's a few recent pics of the kiddos. They're both walking and talking and constantly making us laugh. They turned 14 months a couple of weeks ago and this age has been so much fun.

The twins are still at home during the week. Depending on the day and Daddy's work schedule they may be with Granny Goo (our nanny), Grammie (Casey's mom), Daddy or Miss Megan (our nanny's granddaughter). They stay busy during the day and have the best time playing and interacting with one another.

I'll be 12 weeks along with Baby #3 tomorrow. The all day morning sickness is definitely improving. All certain smells knock me down now. I've been surprised at how exhaused Phenegran makes me. When I was carrying the twins I could pop them every 4 hours, if needed and be good to go. Never felt any side effects. This time they wipe me out and put me in bed almost every time. We've had our first ultrasound and got to see our newest nugget kicking and waving with a strong heartbeat. When my OB walked in to the exam room she just about died and said "Oh my gosh! Are you really here for this?!" It was nice to see someone have the same reaction that Casey and I had, too.

Mason hiding in the kitchen cabinet. Hailey after her first spaghetti dinner. Can you tell she loved it?

Hailey pulling apart the pantry - an almost daily activity.

We got Hailey and Mason little sofas that turn into beds just to play around with in the living room. They've been a much bigger hit than we could have expected. As you can see from the pics, just like in the womb, Mason wants to be right by his big sister.

Mason fell over the back in the toy pile while climbing on his chair.

Hailey has quite a bit of patience with Mason's need to mess with her. But when she's had enough, she puts him in his place real quick!

Mason, make your self comfortable!

Mid-air shot of Hailey falling.

Mason working on his Al Bundy pose...

Getting more comfortable...

Slowly sliding down...

On the floor...

Hailey seeing what may be a good opportunity....
Hailey making sure Mason's eyes close when she pokes them and Mason loving it!

The princess sitting regally on her throne.

We love this girl!!!
Kiki (my mom) got the kids some sprinklers and Hailey loved them, Mason not so much.

Our water baby.
Nightly walk with Daddy (or Gramps) around the back yard to check out all the plants.

Mason making a run for it while Daddy is distracted with Hailey...this boy can m-o-v-e!!! Forget walking he's already mastered sprinting.

Will try and post more pics soon...still need to get first birthday pics up, too!
