3 Weeks as a Family of Five

Just a hodge podge of pics documenting the time we've had together since Coley Poley has come into our lives. He's such a sweet, good baby. He eats and sleeps and poops...not counting his turning blue incident. He eats 6 oz of Enfamil AR (acid reflux) every 2 to 3 hours. Due to his voracious appetite we've already set up weekly formula shipments. Good news is this time its only $43 a week rather than $200 a week for the twins' formula. He's a perfect fit for our family, the louder the noise gets the calmer he gets. I'm sure the 37 weeks he spent listening to our crazy house from my belly trained him well. Cole is LOVE!!!

***After viewing the pics in this post we could easily be seen as borderline nudists - not sure why there are so many photos with half dressed people. You'd never know it by the amount of laundry our family cranks out everyday!***

My boys....Casey, Cole and Mason
Helping Daddy with tummy time.

Cole's first bath - he thought it was bliss!

Hailey and Mason playing in Mason's bed.

My paci boy...a paci for each hand. Its not uncommon to find him with TWO pacis in his mouth or trying to drink from a cup with a paci in his mouth. If Betty Ford had a paci treatment program, we'd have a tough client for them.

Where did the time go...my 20 month old nuggets!

The daily wrestling match in Mason's bed. Hailey goes for the shoulder pin everytime.

I caught these big smiles when they spotted Daddy coming down the hallway.

Our newest love bug all snug in his bouncy chair.

I could eat him with a spoon!

Daddy and his girl waking up from her afternoon nap.

Guess who likes to eat red crayons?
Who's nappy (aka diaper) is that on the floor?

Ohhhh.....I think this guy is the owner!
Morning juice at the picnic table from Kiki. This was an early Christmas present and the twins love it -its the perfect size!

Mamms (my grandmother) wiht Cole. He seems to be quite smitten with her.

Goer (my grandfather) taking in all the action of 3 kids under the age of 2.

Cole is so lucky to have such a wonderful great grandmother.

Here are Christmas 2010 pics, as promised. I never got our 2009 pics posted so this year I'm going to try and be more timely and frequent in our blog postings. Enjoy!

Mason on his new horsey. Hailey isn't a fan of "Rooty Toot".
Hailey waiting to see what Clause Clause has stored in the big present sack.
New dishes for her kitchen.

Mason-man and his Elmo "tar-tar"

Of course every girl needs a new food set to go with her new dishes and kitchen. We know have over 90 pieces of dishes/food to pick up everyday. Thanks, Mammies! : )

Mason with his chainsaw and Guntz with Mason's fireman airpack.

Trying to find a place to walk...so many toys, so little time.

So proud of his chainsaw. Daddy and both grandma's reported to me that the chainsaw ran for 3 days non-stop while I was in the hospital.

Hailey stealing Mason's screwdrivers. Hailey loves to have 2 of anything.
May-may in his fire boots. These are worn daily.

Talking with Mammies about Susie, one of Hailey's new dolls.
More girl talk....

Sweet baby Cole swinging away in the play room while Christmas madness takes place in the living room. No, I can't explain why there's a mixing bowl next to the Elmo chair or why there was a peanut butter sandwich in our half decorated Christmas tree. Just come spend a day at our house and you'll understand.
Hailey breaking out the wine glasses for a little celebratory toast...Mommy has taught her well.

Doodlebug wasn't so sure about her rainboots at first.
Clause Clause should have sent some elves to help clean-up.

Noodler testing out her ladybug pillow pet...new toys and new brothers will wear a girl out!

Mason on his horse and Hailey in her kitchen box.

Daddy and Hailey (while chewing a sandwich) discussing her new treasures.

Showing off her new flatware...of course she has 2 pieces in her hand.

Trying on Mason's fireboots.

Making sure they fit well even when doing her squats.

She decided the polka dots were more her style...but still asked the age old question: Do these make my hiney look big?
**Hailey's hiney is in direct competition with Kim Kardashian...we will have issues with jeans and skirts fitting appropriately. But what a cute tushy it is!

At first glance you may think Mason is playing with a doll...nope, not quite. He's stealing the baby doll's paci. Yes, we have a very big paci addiction.

Notice the serious look in his eyes and how his finger is pointing at the doll. I believe he was saying something along the lines of, "give me your paci and no one will get hurt".

Success!
Since I'm no longer working, Hailey and Mason will be assisting with the yard work in place of our usual lawn service.

You want me to do what?!?! As if!
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

Wrapping up 2010

Let's just say Team Turner was more than ready for the new year to begin after a not so fun December. Oh sure there were some good days in December...but then there were some dark days, especially towards the end.

Good day: December 14 - Cole was born and our family of 5 became complete!

Bad day: December 20 - Cole turned blue and began gasping for air - Daddy went into
fireman mode and cleared his airway while Mommy sobbed to the 911 operator.

Good day: December 21 - Cole was released from the hospital with heart/respiration monitor.

Good day: December 25 - Hailey and Mason were visited by "Clause Clause" and received more presents than any child deserves. Obviously the jolly old man had our twins confused with someone else's children - only the most well behaved kids could earn the loot these two con-artists hauled in.

Bad day: December 25: After making sure I saw the kids open their gifts and enjoyed Christmas morning I finally admitted to Casey and the rest of our family that something wasn't right with my stomach. I was in severe pain and overnight my stomach became extremely swollen and hot. I was unable to bend over due to the swelling resting all the way down to my thighs. I ended up being readmitted to the hospital for 4 days due to an infection from my C-section. Four days without Hailey and Mason after missing them while in the hospital for Cole's birth (and not to mention being without my newborn for 4 days, too). Daddy and the grandmothers (Kiki and Mammies) stepped in kept Team Turner functioning while Mommy was being pumped full of antibiotics.

Good day: December 29: Pediatrician determined Cole's blue spell was due to acid reflux. Evidently some mucus/reflux became trapped in his airway and caused one of the scariest moments of our lives. Cole is now fed sitting straight up and has to remain sitting up for 30 minutes after each feeding. This can be difficult with 2 am feedings when Mommy or Daddy's eyes can barely stay open, but is exactly what we had to do with the twins for their acid reflux.

Good day: December 31: All of 5 of the Turners were happy, healthy and tucked snuggly into bed when the new year began. 2010 was quiet a ride...can't wait to see what 2011 brings!

***New pics to be posted before Monday so check back in!***
