Yep, that's right - I started. Today I unexpectedly started my period and I officially started my invitro cycle. We were more than surprised by all of the events of today.
The morning started off by my mother-in-law texting me to say my meds had arrived at their house. Such a relief. I had been distracted with so much going on at work that I didn't call Dr. G's office to let them know everything had arrived. At lunch with my coworkers (while laughing hysterically) I started my period, and immediately called Dr. G when I realized today was the day!!
The nurse told me to come in ASAP so I could get my ultrasound and blood work done today. I was so excited to call Casey and tell him we were really starting. Theres been so much discussion, planning and anticipation, so to say "we're starting" felt SO GOOD!!!
I was back at work within 30 minutes or so and the drs office called not long after. My blood work looked good, and I start my micro-dose Lupron injections tomorrow morning. The other injections will start Sunday. My next office visit will be early Wednesday morning, this appt will be the start of my every other day ultrasounds and blood draws.
Casey is headed home now - he's picking up my meds from his parents. I can't wait to see him, he was is so excited. Tonight we'll sit down and get everything lined out for the injections to start tomorrow.
I do have to admit I cried like a baby while waiting for the nurse to do my ultrasound today - I just couldn't believe that a process we had talked about for months was really getting underway. What a great Friday afternoon surprise!!!
Can't wait to see my Casey!!!!
